Introduction

별은 언제나 그 자리에 있었다. 어둠마저 밝히는 화려한 불빛과 깨어있지 못한 내 눈이 떠 있는 별들을 미처 보지 못했을 뿐. 이 XR퍼포먼스는 다시 칠흑같은 우주의 밤하늘을 불러와 나 자신도 하나의 별이 되어 빛나고자 기획되었다. 숨쉬는 별의 공간을 만들기 위해, 별의 유래를 담고 있는 제주천지개벽신화 천지왕본풀이의 이야기가 프로젝션 맵핑된 입체 영상, 자연담은 전통악기의 연주와 사운드, 태초의 움직임을 담은 현대무용으로 펼쳐진다. 또한 별과 우주를 표현하는데 있어 우주의 색을 잘 표현 한다는 흑칠(黑漆)과 나전기법을 응용하였다. 태초의 시기, 우리 모두가 별이었던 별의 시간으로 프로젝션 빛과 춤과 음악의 물결을 통해 초대하고 싶다.

Stars remained in the same place all the time. I just couldn't see the floating stars because of showy lights which even brighten up the darkness without my eyes awake. This XR performance was designed to bring out the night sky of the inky universe again and even make oneself become a single star to shine. In order to form a space of breathing stars, it unfolds with the story of the heaven and the earth of a Jeju creation myth that covers the origin of the stars as a form of a 3D video which went through projection mapping, performance, and sounds of traditional instruments, which imply nature, and modern dance which contains movements of the beginnings. Also, I applied a black lacquer said to show the colors of the cosmos well, and a nacre technique to represent stars and the universe. Through the lights of the projection and the waves of dance and music, we'd like to invite you to the time of stars when we all used to be stars at the beginning of the world.
